A mixed-use apartment complex is being proposed for the site of the Pure Platinum strip club in Oakland park.
Pennsylvania-based developer Dan Deitchman recently filed plans to build O2, a seven-story, 165-unit project, on a five-parcel site at 3339 and 3471 North Federal Highway. Pure Platinum operated for nearly three decades before closing last year, facing legal issues with the city of Oakland Park over regulation disputes, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
As proposed, the O2 development would include nearly 119,000 square feet of rental space, 31,705 square feet of retail space, and about 400 parking spaces.
A company tied to Deitchman paid $4.9 million for the property in July. Deitchman is also planning an apartment tower with micro units on the site. Deitchman heads BrickBox Development, which specializes in renovating historic and distressed properties.
