Miami Yacht Show: Feb. 15-19

The Miami International Boat Show is at 3501 Rickenbacker Causeway in Miami. The Miami Yacht Show is at 4601 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach.

The 2018 Miami International Boat Show and the Miami Yacht Show will attract tens of thousands of boating enthusiasts and marine professionals to South Florida during President’s Day weekend. The events, encompassing sites at Virginia Key in Miami and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, will showcase thousands of boats, yachts and marine accessories to attendees who will bring hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact to the region.

Here’s an overview of what’s new at the Miami International Boat Show and the Miami Yacht Show, and what not to miss.

Tickets available for both shows

A new ticket partnership allows attendees entrance to both the Miami International Boat Show at Miami’s Virginia Key and the Miami Yacht Show in Miami Beach. In its first year under new producer Informa, the Miami Yacht Show announced the partnership with the National Marine Manufacturers Association, which owns the Miami International Boat Show, in January. Attendees can pay $50 a day to go to both shows and use a bus route between Collins Avenue and Virginia Key that will run daily Feb. 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the partnership. Individual tickets to the Miami Yacht Show in Miami Beach are $25. Admission to the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key on its launch day, Feb. 15, is $40 per ticket. Then, tickets for Feb. 16-19 admission are $25.

New dining options

New York catering company Great Performances has returned as the Miami International Boat Show’s food and beverage provider. The company will partner with local food trucks for the show including Latin Café, The Knife Steakhouse, Moet & Chandon Sushi Maki, Killer Melts, Moty’s, Mulberry 1965 Pizza, King of Racks BBQ, HipPops, B.C. Tacos, Mr. Bing, Relentless Roasters and Ocean Breeze.

Do the VIP experience

Both the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key and Miami Yacht Show in Miami Beach have VIP experiences. At the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key, VIP tickets are $125 and includes one day of admission, complimentary food drinks and entertainment and access to an air-conditioned lounge. At the Miami Yacht Show in Miami Beach, VIPs can pay $150 per day per person to get access to private yacht tours and a shuttle service to Watches & Wonders Miami, an event representing more than 20 of the world’s leading luxury timepiece manufacturers in the Miami Design District.

The sailing event will feature more than 70 sailboats at the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin as part of the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key. Sailor’s Cove at the Miami Marine Stadium, between Tents F and J, will have daily educational seminars by leading sailors and meet-and-greets with sailing experts.

Dutch yacht builder Amels will bring its largest vessel to the Miami Yacht Show in Miami Beach. At 272-feet, Here Comes The Sun will occupy the show’s largest berth, making its worldwide debut.
