Florida construction activity increases 39.8 percent year over year
July 21, 2013Construction in Florida’s metropolitan areas jumped 39.8 percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the same time a year ago.
In the state’s cities, major public and private projects reported $4.18 billion in activity in the quarter, according to BidClerk, a company that measures construction leads across the U.S.
The Orlando metropolitan area’s construction levels rose 46 percent, the most in Florida.
Miami-area’s total construction increased 30.5 percent from a year ago, and 4.8 percent from the first quarter of 2013.
