March 11 2017 | Aston Martin Residences Developer Proposes $4M Virginia Key Beach Club

The developer of Aston Martin Residences is proposing to build a beach club on Virginia Key.

G and G Business Developments submitted an unsolicited proposal to build on land owned by the City of Miami and managed by the Virginia Key Trust. The project site as at the southeast portion of Virginia Key.

According to the proposal, part of the project would be open to members, and the public will be able to purchase memberships at an unspecified price (buyers at Aston Martin Residences will likely receive free or discounted membership.)

An elevated platform supported by pilings would be built above ground. Two buildings would be constructed on top, including a beach club and a building for dining and event space. Total construction cost is estimated at $4 million.

In exchange for the rights to the land, G and G is proposing to pay rent of $120,000 per year for 30 years.
