Microsoft is opening an office in Brickell

Microsoft’s new regional hub will serve as headquarters for Microsoft Latin America, but will also “unite employees across multiple locations supporting collaboration, inspiration, and productivity,” said Mariana Castro, vice president of sales, marketing and operations for Latin America.
The Washington-based company will be leasing about 42,000 square-feet of space at 830 Brickell, Brickell newest Class A office space, a spokesperson said. The company will occupy two and a half floors of the building.
Microsoft already has a strong presence in Florida, with a 20-year history in the Sunshine State and headquarters for the Caribbean and Latin America currently located in Fort Lauderdale.
THE BUILDING
Taking full advantage of location, 830 Brickell’s office spaces reside near Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami’s Financial District. Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the acclaimed firm behind the Jeddah Tower and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest towers in the world, wove together 55 floors and 1,030,000 square feet of uninterrupted glass, illuminated day and night by Miami Beach’s warm bay hues and nocturnal radiance.
