Waldorf Astoria coming to Downtown Miami

September 28, 2018

Waldorf Astoria is coming to Downtown Miami , it is a new tower being developed at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, which will become the tallest building in Florida.

The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences Miami was announced today in a press release.

It will include 140 hotel rooms and 400 condos, Bloomberg is reporting. Total sales of condo residences are expected to top $1 billion.

The tower itself will become the tallest in Miami at 1,049 feet above sea level, and 1,041 feet above ground – the maximum permitted in Miami due to airport flight paths. Previously, developer PMG said that the project would rise between 88 and 94 floors.

Miami’s current tallest building is Panorama Tower in Brickell, which stands 868 feet above ground, and 876 feet above sea level.

PMG, S2 Development, and Greybrook Realty Partners are the developers.

Sieger Suarez is the architect, with the design of the new Waldorf tower said to resemble nine offset glass cubes.
