Whole Foods Market is the first tenant to announce on Midtown Tampa

April 9, 2018

Whole Foods Market is the first announced tenant of Midtown Tampa, a major commercial complex under development in downtown Tampa.

The 48,000-square-foot anchor supermarket at 1001 East Dale Mabry Highway will be the Amazon.com subsidiary’s largest location in the Tampa area.

The supermarket will be part of the 1.8 million-square-foot Midtown Tampa development, designed as a retail-activated mixed-use development with 750,000 square feet of office space, 400 residences, two boutique hotels, and 240,000 square feet of retailing and entertainment space.

The developer of Midtown Tampa is a New York City-based property development and investment firm expects to benefit from the site’s proximity to Tampa’s popular Westshore neighborhood.

Founded in 1972, Bromley has owned the 22-acre development site, at the southeast corner of Dale Mabry Highway and Interstate 275, since the early 1990s.

The Tampa Bay Times reported that the daily number of vehicles that pass the Midtown Tampa site is estimated at a quarter million.
